Associate Advertising Analyst

Position Overview

Come join Viewport, one of the fastest growing digital media and publication startups in the U.S. We’re seeking an Associate Advertising Analyst to help track and analyze performance metrics across our brand portfolio. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch, optimize, and scale monetization efforts. You’ll work closely with both business and technology teams to gather insights, drive data-informed decision-making, and refine strategies. Your key responsibilities will include monitoring campaigns, assisting with monetization strategy, and contributing to the optimization of campaign performance to maximize yield and support our business growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and interpret key business KPIs for new advertising efforts and partnerships.
  • Implement and manage reporting processes for new advertising campaigns, both manual and automated.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the full campaign lifecycle for email and web advertising channels.
  • Assist in the launch and management of new campaigns across all advertising channels.
  • Define and document new advertising processes as the business scales and evolves.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of campaigns and keep key stakeholders informed of new initiatives.
  • Enhance A/B testing reports to extract actionable insights for campaign optimization and growth.
  • Compile, analyze, and present advertising performance data and reports to assess campaign effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the data team to refine the data input into BI tools and improve the accuracy of generated reports.

Candidate Profile

  • 2+ years of experience in a financial or marketing role with a focus on reporting. 
  • Work experience or University degree that demonstrates strong quantitative ability with a concentration in financial analysis.  
  • Experience successfully designing and implementing advertising campaigns from start to finish. Web or Email experience preferred but not required. 
  • Ability to organize data from disparate sources, derive KPIs and build reports for use by your team and broader business users.
  • Experience with modern remote work communication tools; Slack, Asana, Google Docs, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Experience with digital marketing and campaign management is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL, Looker, or similar BI tools is a plus.

What we offer:

  • This is a fully remote job and offers great flexibility, but you must be located in the United States. All of our employees work remotely and you will be working and collaborating with teammates from the East Coast to the West Coast. 
  • This is a full-time position. The majority of your work will occur during core business hours.   • Compensation will be commensurate with aptitude and experience, but the company historically pays at the top of local market rates. The base compensation range for this role is $60,000-$70,000.
