Job Title: Piano Instructor

Location: Canal Fulton Music
Pay: $40 per hour
Hours: 5-35 hours per week (flexible scheduling)

Job Overview:

Canal Fulton Music is seeking a skilled and passionate Piano Instructor to join our team. We are dedicated to providing high-quality music education to students of all ages and skill levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in piano performance, music theory knowledge, and the ability to create engaging, customized lesson plans.

Responsibilities:

• Provide private piano lessons to students ranging from beginners to advanced levels.
• Develop personalized lesson plans based on individual student goals and progress.
• Teach proper technique, sight-reading, and fundamental music theory concepts.
• Prepare students for recitals, performances, and optional competitions.
• Maintain an organized lesson schedule and communicate effectively with students and families.
• Provide feedback and practice recommendations to enhance student progress.
• Ensure a positive and encouraging learning environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 4 years of piano playing experience (formal training preferred).
• Strong knowledge of music theory and technique.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and ages.
• Reliable transportation to and from lessons.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain scheduling and lesson planning.
• Friendly, professional, and passionate about music education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous teaching experience (private or group instruction).
• Degree in Music Education, Performance, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
• Experience with recital preparation and student performances.
