Summer Intern - Process Automation

Overview:

Looking for (2) Summer Interns for our Farmington Hills, MI location to work Hybrid/Remote to work as a process automation intern in optimizing efficiency and customer satisfaction in our organization. The successful candidates will be organized, have great attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. There will be a rotation of three areas Rail Truck Operations, Pricing and Equipment Management; Assignment will begin with an Intermodal 101 education.           

Responsibilities:

Navigate spreadsheets for data entry and filing.

Use web analytics tools to assess efficacy of current operations methods.

Assist in adapting current operating systems to optimize efficiency.

Manage container inventory.

Log budgeting in a spreadsheet for period close.

Assist with ISO re-certification.

Qualifications:

Ability or a willingness to learn how to use web tools

Working knowledge of MS Office

Strong communication skills

Organizational skills

Problem-solving skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Attention to detail

Ability to multitask

Requirements:

Excel Power-user preferred (mid-level okay); Google AI, MS Co-Pilot, Power BI skills/experience desirable to be used in finding automated solutions or streamlining current work processes.

Also Process Management skills (i.e. Visio) experience.

The hourly wage for this position is $20.00 

Candidates are eligible for the following benefit: 

•  one (1) hour of paid sick time for every thirty (30) hrs worked, and up to a maximum of forty-eight (48) hrs each calendar yr.
