Assistant Cidermaker

Searching for an Assistant Cidermaker

 

Cellaring Operations: Kegging, packaging, blends and transfers, fermentation logs, carbonation testing and logs, keg management, batch reports. 

Cleaning: CIP/COP of all tanks, equipment and fittings, keg cleaning, cleaning of cidery floors, walls, and tank exteriors.  

Cidermaking Operations: Cidermaking operations will be as delegated and may include yeast pitching, fermentation management, nutrient additions, fruit additions and mixing, racking, fining, filtering, centrifugation.  

Preparing samples for testing 

You will be trained in crossflow filtration and perform filtrations when proficient.  

On site inventory management and organization  

Innovation: assistant cidermaker will be heavily involved in new flavor development and innovation, including new production components and processes, new beverage types and will be given projects to reflect this. For example, we did a non-saccharomyces yeast trial for enhanced aromatic expression last year. We are constantly innovating and thinking of new flavors and better ways to produce craft beverages. 

Forklift and truck operation 

We are a fast-growing and rapidly changing company; other duties may be required as necessary outside of the scope of the role.
