Essential Functions

  • As the Facility Manger, organizes, plans, executes, controls, and evaluates the operations of the Gaming Board's facilities.
  • Serves as Fleet Managerfor the IGB.
  • Serves as a working supervisor.
  • Organizes, plans, executes, controls, and evaluates the operations of IGB's Records Retention program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • This position requires the knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration.
  • This position requires two (2) years of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.

Conditions of Employment

  1. Pass Illinois Gaming Board's background investigation (background check).
  2. Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.
  3. Requires an appropriate, valid driver's license.
  4. Must comply with the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act: No State employee who works forthe Illinois Gaming Board, or spouse or immediate family member living with such person shall, during State employment, hold an ownership interest in, other than a passiveinterest in, a publicly traded company, in any gaming license under the Illinois Gambling Act, the Video Gaming Act, the IllinoisHorse Racing Act of 1975, or the Sports Wagering Act.
  5. Must comply with the Illinois Gambling Act: No person shall be employed to serve the Board who is, or whose spouse, parent or child is, an officialof, or has a financial interest in or financial relation with, any operator engaged in gambling operations within this State, or any organization engaged in conducting horse racing within this State.
  6. Must comply with the Illinois Gambling Act: For the one year immediately preceding employment, an employee shall not have been employed or received compensation or fees for services from a person or entity, or its parent or affiliate, that has engaged in business with the Board, a licensee, or a licensee under the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975.

Preferred Qualification (In Order of Significance)

  • Prefers two (2) years of experience with vehicle and property management, budgeting, statistics, and procurement.
  • Prefers two (2) years of experience working with the SAP Asset Management system or similar automated asset tracking system.
  • Prefers two (2) years of experience supervising subordinate unionrepresented staff.
  • Prefers one (1) year experience with C-15 asset reporting or other mandatedasset tracking reporting.
  • Prefers at least two (2) years of experience with Microsoft office,including Outlook, Excel and Word.
