SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYST INTERNSHIP
Work Type: Internship (40 hours during summer)
Locations: Owensboro, KY, Loudon, TN, Corinth, MS, Mobile, AL, or Marinette, WI
Dates: June 2025 through August 2025
Our internship will offer you a chance to explore the breadth of opportunities available in the supply chain while working on real projects such as process improvements in flow planning for finished products, raw materials & finishing supplies, space utilization & optimization analysis, or warehouse operations systems analysis. You will be provided meaningful work experiences that contribute to the overall strategic business goals of Kimberly-Clark. You’ll be treated & respected as a valuable contributor & given your own responsibilities & accountabilities. Your intern experience will include performance evaluations that provide you with valuable professional feedback to gauge your strengths & measure areas of improvement.

Qualifications
- Students must have completed 2-3 years toward a four-year college degree; preferably in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics Management, Manufacturing Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3.0 out of 4.0 overall GPA is preferred (transcripts will be requested).
- Solid knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- A high degree of analytical skill is required
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Experience with Power BI/Query, Tableau
- Advanced Excel skills
Functional Overviews – there are roles in each of the following functional areas.
Continuous Improvement –
- Assist in the development and management of occupational safety, health, and hygiene program resources to ensure Mill, Sector and corporate objectives are met. Constantly works and communicates in a manner that fully supports world class goals of no loss, no incidents.
- Learns technical expertise in safety, employee health and industrial hygiene to Mill personnel and maintains OSHA regulated policies.
- Support teams of employees in integrating safety, health and hygiene in all facets of manufacturing, including the development of safe work procedures and task analysis.
- Assists in development, maintenance and implementation of procedures and other instructions relative to occupational safety, health and hygiene.
- Conducts training programs relative to occupational safety, health and hygiene.
- Ensures development, maintenance, and coordination of a system for investigating safety issues, near misses, accidents, and property losses.
- Contributes to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results.
- Ensure continued safe work practices of self and others by complying with company and governmental regulations. Maintain good housekeeping standards while eliminating and preventing losses of all types (injuries, illnesses, process loss, property damage).
Logistics –
- Support the smooth and efficient functioning of Finished Product Warehouse operations including performance of the materials handling system (MHS).
- Support process development within the third party operations (Distribution Center Ops and MHS Maintenance providers) to meet safety, productivity, quality, and cost expectations.
- Assist third party operator(s) with best practice and continuous improvement programs.
- Ensure housekeeping standards in conformance to plant and government regulations.
- Support continuous improvement in Safety, productivity, cost, quality, inventory control and customer service. Provide leadership and work direction for KC Electrical Techs and Electrical Engineers assigned to Finished Product Warehouse/Logistics Team.
- Work with the Mill Operations team and Staff Distribution team to ensure the effective development and application of internal control systems/procedures, customer service policies and facility standard operating procedures in Materials Handling.
- Audit programs to monitor and improve the warehousing practices, and safeguard K-C assets at consumer field distribution centers.
Manufacturing Operations –
- Supports the Operations Team Leader as a core member of the mill leadership team and that leads a sizeable Operations team in the mill to meet Kimberly-Clark’s Manufacturing Standards to achieve ‘Best in Class’ results.
- Incorporate best practices in employee safety, quality of product and asset productivity.
- In the areas of safety, comply with K-C and regulatory requirements related to EHS&S.
- Lead by example to drive the right culture and capabilities to improve mindsets & behaviors.
- Support the identification & mitigation of risks, and control safety & environmental hazards.
- Coach teams to get to the root cause and drive both corrective and preventative actions.
- Proactively promote, participate & support the Quality Management System.
- Accountable for Quality KPIs – RFT Make, Customer complaints, COPQ.
- Communicate importance of quality among production teams.
- Support QMS requirements – QNC, CAPA, complaints handling and resolution.
- Drive though leadership to maximize asset utilization, whilst meeting the required standards of safety and product quality at minimized cost.
- Learn initiatives/programs to build World Class Manufacturing Culture in the organization (LEAN, Reliability, OPEX, LSS, Sustainability, Digital Manufacturing).
- Coach and develop team members to ensure manufacturing processes are robust, stable, and technical challenges are systemically addressed.
- Drive / support Operational benchmarks and implement best practices for continuous improvement.
- Own Leader Standard Work, GEMBA and Lean Six Sigma best practices in operations.

The anticipated pay range for this job is $21.50/hour. Individual pay levels will be based on multiple factors including, but are not limited to, location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
