National Commercial Services Internship

The Fidelity National Title – National Commercial Services Summer Internship

Students will experience all aspects of commercial real estate transaction management as a Fidelity National Title Insurance – National Commercial Services (“NCS”) Intern. The training schedule follows the life of a commercial title insurance order as it progresses from open to close. 

What follows is a list of the NCS departments that will serve as stops during the training, along with a brief description of the learning emphasis at each: 

•Search and Exam/National Coordination – Conduct property research and gain a general understanding of the legal issues that impact commercial real estate. Manage complex transactions across the country.

•Escrow/Open Order – Understand what it means to be a transaction manager and fiduciary. Learn the importance of data and workflows.

•Sales/Corporate Strategy – Learn how to uncover value, segment markets, and pursue high value targets through the disciplined use of sales process. Understand how sales and business operations come together to create competitive advantage

In addition to the general survey of NCS operations, each intern will choose an area of emphasis in Search and Exam, Escrow, or Sales where they will gain an in-depth understanding of their chosen area of emphasis.

Search and Exam Intern 

Searchers and Examiners love research and understanding the importance of creating accurate data. If you are an avid reader, problem solver, and/or continuous learner, the search and exam department may be the place for you. Members of our research team love puzzles and are invigorated by the challenge of solving complex problems and mapping out a course of action for real estate transactions.

Escrow Intern 

The Escrow Department is right for you if you love people, numbers, and project management. Members of the Escrow team make sure that commercial real estate transactions close. They act as fiduciaries, trusted parties who manage the financial aspects of a transaction. Members of the Escrow team are highly organized, have excellent communication and people skills, and know how to take charge!

Sales Intern 

If you have ever been described as a “people-person,” sales may be the place for you. Great sales people are naturally curious, self-starters, deeply competitive, and driven to connect with, and help, people. The sales team works to understand client needs, uncover new business opportunities, deliver presentations to customers and industry groups, shepherd deals through the system, and serve as brand ambassadors.
