Hybrid Administrative Assistant for a Clean Technology Firm in Seattle, WA

Work Setting: Hybrid, 3 x per week in Downtown Seattle, WA office 
Employment Type: Contract 5 months (potential to extend/convert)
Schedule: Full Time

A leading company in the clean technology sector, committed to driving innovation and economic development, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support critical operations and strategic initiatives. This role goes beyond traditional administrative tasks, requiring a proactive individual with strong writing skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for climate action and workforce development.

The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in supporting grant-related activities, organizing a new committee, conducting industry outreach and research, and facilitating communication and collaboration within the organization and with external stakeholders.

What Your Day Looks Like:

Grant Writing and Reporting:

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for clean technology and workforce development initiatives.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate grant reports, ensuring compliance with all requirements and deadlines.

Committee Organization:

  • Support the creation and management of a new committee focused on clean technology and economic development.
  • Coordinate schedules, draft agendas, take meeting minutes, and track action items.

Industry Outreach and Research:

  • Conduct research on industry trends, potential partnerships, and opportunities related to clean technology and workforce development.
  • Facilitate outreach efforts, including drafting correspondence and maintaining communication with key industry stakeholders.

Administrative Support:

  • Manage schedules, coordinate meetings, and handle logistical arrangements for internal and external events.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation, ensuring easy access and retrieval of information.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Other Duties as Assigned.

What You Bring:
 

  • Proven experience in administrative support roles, with a focus on project coordination and communication.
  • Exceptional writing skills, with demonstrated ability to craft compelling grant proposals and professional correspondence.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Interest in and knowledge of clean technology, climate action, and workforce development is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and other relevant software.
  • Experience with research, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
