Event Coordinator - Foundation

LifeScape Foundation is now accepting applications for a dynamic Event Coordinator - an organized, self-motivated, flexible, professional, with solid computer & communication skills. The Event Coordinator is primarily responsible for leading development and fundraising events, managing donor gifts, and researching relationship opportunities. Keys to success in this position are exemplary organizational skills, strong administrative capabilities, excellent communication skills, and problem-solving abilities, as challenges and opportunities arise proactively.

This position requires a highly motivated individual who desires to work in a fast-paced environment, has a high level of professionalism, is attentive to detail, and has the drive to achieve mutually agreed-upon goals.

Some of the tasks for this position include, but are not limited to:

Event Planning

  • Plan, coordinate and execute fundraising events to further Foundation mission and goals
  • Write, edit, and coordinate special event correspondence
  • Work closely with the marketing department in the creation and implementation of all event and campaign related and internal giving campaign related promotions
  • Plan and execute annual Employee Giving Campaign, and any other internal fundraising campaigns, for support of LifeScape or LifeScape Foundation
  • Create and post all social media content in relation to events and fundraising/foundation activities

Donor Cultivation

  • Serve as liaison between donor groups, the LifeScape Foundation, and LifeScape
  • Develop community and corporate partnerships supporting the mission of LifeScape through in-kind support, cash support, and volunteers
  • Build strong relationships with the volunteer program & volunteers to cultivate new donors and steward existing donor relationships
  • Capture and track relationship touchpoints, donor profiles, and financial information in Raiser’s Edge

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Leadership, or Business Management required, or a combination of a high school diploma/GED and three or more years of development, fundraising, sales, or stewardship experience.  Experience in Raiser’s Edge (Donor Database Software) is preferred. A valid SD driver’s license with clean driving record is required.
