Operations Research Analyst (Developmental Position)

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is currently seeking 4 candidates for Operations Research Analyst, GS-1515-12T13, to work at a newly activated unit at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA
Join Detachment 4, Headquarters Air Combat Command, where our team executes operational analysis to transform data into decision advantage for commanders and warfighters throughout Air Combat Command’s combat airpower, intelligence, and cyber units. Member will serve as an Operations Research Analyst responsible for performing analytic projects in support of units across Air Combat Command. We seek team members with strong critical thinking/technical skills; advanced degrees are preferred.
This is a developmental position with known promotion potential within one year to the target position of Operations research Analyst, GS-1515-13. For those hired at the GS-12 level, the incumbent works closely with the supervisor to perform duties identified in the full performance standard core personnel document/core document. If qualified based on experience, candidates may be hired directly at the GS-13 level.
Salary: $86,183 – $136,323.
Relocation Incentive may be offered to eligible candidates.
Telework may be authorized up to 20%
Travel authorized up to 25%
