Marketing Generalist
Job Summary: The Marketing Generalist is responsible for providing general administrative support to the marketing department. This role is also responsible for supporting the coordination of community events and management of various sponsorships including the Penn Community Bank Foundation.
Essential Functions
The following is a list of essential functions, which may be subject to change at any time and without advance notice. Management may assign new duties, reassign existing duties, or eliminate a function.
- Provide general administrative support to marketing team members.
- Assist in fulfilling requests and responding to inquiries.
- Manage department billing and processing for Marketing and Foundation.
- Provide event and campaign support including the coordination of materials, promotional items, games, tents and branch staffing support as needed.
- Fulfill corporate advertising placements with vendors when needed.
- Support Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility and Government Affairs to ensure the effectiveness of community relations and foundation initiatives, this includes but not limited to:
- Event and program management
- Budget management and reporting
- Administrator of the Kadince Community Involvement Software
Compliance
- Comply with applicable bank regulations, such as regulations governing currency transactions, purchase of negotiable instruments, and money laundering (BSA, AML).
- Comply with all applicable regulations and Bank policies regarding employment and employment law.
- Participate in annual compliance and other job-related training.
Relationships and Contacts
Internal: Frequent communication with marketing leadership; contact with Team Members at various levels and departments throughout the Bank as needed.
External: Occasional contact with current and prospective customers as well as Marketing vendors.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or completion of relevant university courses in Marketing, Graphic Design, and Communications.
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of financial services is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated Adobe Creative Suite proficiency with emphasis on Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro preferred.
- Strong editorial skills in English composition, grammar, and proofreading.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong in attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of professionals.
Working Conditions
Traditional office environment with no unusual work conditions; the office maintains five day a week operations (Monday – Friday) with operational hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. Must be available to attend events on evenings and weekends as necessary.
