Role Overview:
The Shift Lead is pivotal for supporting the Store Manager by helping drive in-store sales and ensuring an unparalleled shopping experience for our customers at Paper Skyscraper. This role requires innovative strategy development, close collaboration with other departments, and effective team management.
Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Implementation:
- Set an example through demonstration of the core values and core focus of Paper Skyscraper
- Implement and utilize our EOS platform to ensure all challenges and opportunities are exceeded
- Assist the store manager in realizing or exceeding determined sales plans and target metric objectives
- Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales
- Assist the store manager with training staff on how to drive sales through consistent development of product knowledge and customer service standards.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and report concerns to senior management.
- Maintain proper inventory controls and facilitate inventory transactions and bulk count as guided by senior management.
- Ensure the store is secured at closing by checking if the doors are locked, alarms are set, and all safes are locked.
- Help plan and execute visual merchandising strategies for store location(s), enhancing store aesthetics and shopper experience.

Planning & Reporting:
- Regularly update senior management on sales performance, customer feedback, and strategic adjustments
- Ensure consistent execution of the company’s marketing and visual presentation

Customer Experience:
- Actively assist customers in their shopping experience
- Bring a positive attitude to the store each day and positively represent Paper Skyscraper inside and outside the store.
- Foster an environment where customers receive exceptional service and a delightful shopping experience.
- Address customer complaints and feedback, partnering with manager to implement changes to enhance satisfaction when necessary.
- Take pride in work so that is shows through in a positive way to our customers and team members

Team Management & Training:
- Mentor sales professionals, ensuring they have the knowledge and tools to excel.
- Manage daily schedules for the sales team, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours (i.e. Rest breaks, Meal Breaks, Replenishment, Recovery, etc.)
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-oriented team environment.
- Assist with training the sales professionals to implement in-store promotions effectively.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in retail management, sales strategy, or a related field.
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for training and team development.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to multitask and manage various projects simultaneously.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to the Store Manager.
