Canoe the Caney and JBeez Watercraft are leading outdoor recreation companies offering unforgettable experiences in the Upper Cumberland region. Canoe the Caney provides scenic canoe and kayak trips on the Caney Fork River, paddling trips to Burgess Falls, as well as thrilling haunted tours, while JBeez Watercraft specializes in jet ski and boat rentals for exciting adventures on the area lakes. Together, we’re passionate about creating outdoor experiences that connect people with nature and inspire lifelong memories.
Position Overview:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and creative Marketing Intern to join our team! This is a hands-on opportunity to learn and contribute to our marketing efforts, with a focus on digital and social media campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Develop engaging social media content, including posts, stories, and videos, that resonate with our audience.
- Research and apply trending hashtags to expand our online reach.
- Collaborate with team members to produce promotional materials, including flyers, newsletters, and digital content.
- Organize and manage photo and video content from tours, events, and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Collaborate on brainstorming sessions and implement marketing ideas to attract new customers.
- Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns to drive engagement.
- Conduct research on emerging travel trends and identify opportunities to enhance JBeez Inc.'s marketing efforts.
- Help maintain and update JBeez Inc.’s websites with fresh, engaging content.
- Write blog posts to promote our experiences and share stories about outdoor recreation.
- Monitor marketing performance metrics and compile reports to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing (junior/senior) or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset and attention to detail.
- Organization and knowledge of spreadsheets and Canva design.
- Passion for outdoor recreation is a plus!
Details:
- Internship period: January 2025 – December 2025
- Location: Silver Point, TN (some remote work possible).
- Compensation: Paid $15.00 per hour
