Position Summary:
In this position you will support the HR team in daily operations and projects, ensuring smooth execution of HR functions. You will report to the HR Manager and will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, office/clerical tasks, employee recognition, creating and pulling reports, HRIS management, and more.

You want to gain hands-on experience, contribute meaningful work, and grow your understanding of key HR functions like recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and reporting.
How You Make an Impact:
As the HR Intern, you will work to support the HR team across a wide range of functions. You will manage recruitment processes, assist in onboarding new hires, contribute to employee engagement initiatives, and help maintain critical HR systems and reports. You will be a valuable part of our team!
Responsibilities:
Recruitment
- Create job requisitions, review resumes, schedule interviews, and conduct initial phone screens.
- Facilitate background checks, prepare offer letters, and manage onboarding paperwork through Lyric/ADP.
- Serve as a primary contact for new hires, ensuring they have all necessary information before their start date.
- Lead monthly recruitment meetings with HR teams to review hiring statuses and open positions.
Onboarding
- Support hiring managers with templates and documentation to streamline the onboarding process.
- Prepare for new hires by creating welcome kits, setting up workspaces, and scheduling initial meetings.
- Conduct onboarding orientations, facility tours, and manage I9 documentation.
- Collaborate with marketing for new hire announcements and create employee folders.
Employee Engagement and Recognition
- Support employee engagement activities by brainstorming, planning events, and creating promotional materials.
- Assist the DE&I and Safety Committees with resources, training, and ensuring safety supplies are stocked.
- Manage employee recognition systems, including tracking milestones and facilitating anniversary gifts.
Administrative and Reporting Tasks
- Analyze training completion reports and send reminders for deadlines.
- Prepare and update monthly reports for recruiting, turnover, safety, birthdays, and anniversaries.
- Conduct termination processes and assist with payroll-related tasks like tuition reimbursements and PTO payouts.
- Maintain accurate organizational charts and assist with employment letters and changes.
Qualifications & Skills:
As the ideal candidate for the HR Intern, you will:
- Be pursuing or have completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with HRIS platforms like Lyric/ADP or similar systems.
- Show attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Exhibit professionalism, confidentiality, and a collaborative mindset.
Good to Have Skills:
While not required, the following skills can enhance candidacy:
- Familiarity with DE&I initiatives or safety procedures.
- Certifications in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR).
