Intern, Brand Marketing
As the Brand Marketing Intern, you will combine your skills in project management and marketing to enable strategic brand building, marketing activation and partnerships. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who has the drive and passion to gain experience and expand their skills in a collaborative environment. You will gain broad exposure to key competencies of marketing while supporting all priority brands and regularly facilitating local, audience-first partnerships and trades. Collaboration extends across functions, involving sales, underwriting, distribution, and creative services.
Key Learning Goals:
The goal of this internship is to provide immersive learning and real-world experience through impactful projects. Goals include:
- Gain valuable hands-on experience in the key marketing competencies such as trade and partnership coordination, activation planning, creative briefing and coordination.
- Be part of a collaborative and supportive team.
- Contribute to the success of our marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
In this hands-on role, you will provide support in the following areas:
Marketing Event Support
- Planning support (production and creative needs, staff/volunteer coordination, partner and vendor communication, etc.).
- On-site management (interaction with event attendees and fellow staff/volunteers).
- Logistics (packing/unpacking, delivering materials, set-up/takedown, spreadsheet management, etc.).
Marketing Trade Management
- Receive, vet and execute marketing trades.
- Build relationships with key underwriting and brand partners.
- Manage spreadsheets for assessing marketing trade ROI and value to be used across the enterprise as well as tracking existing and potential trades.
- Assist with ticket giveaways and deliverable execution.
- Assist with event activations as needed.
- Help write promotional scripts.
Creative Services Support
- Serve as point person for creative services requests, managing reviews and feedback with cross functional partners.
- Develop creative briefs for priority campaigns in partnership with marketing managers.
- Ensure all assets are reviewed, approved and stored in a timely and effective manner.

Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in and have completed one year of a 2–4-year undergraduate degree. program, OR are enrolled in a graduate degree program OR have earned a degree within the last 12 months.
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 5:00pm) for the duration of this internship.
- Must be able work in the office (St. Paul, MN) at least 2 days per week.
- Currently pursuing or have earned a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Enthusiastic interest in podcasts, public media and radio, and/or digital marketing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and creativity.
- Strong digital/computer skills (typing/word processing, email, internet research, etc.).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello).
- Strong experience with Outlook and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for brand consistency.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
