Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Breaking News Reporter to join our team. This role requires strong communication skills, particularly over the phone, as the reporter will frequently liaise with sheriff's departments, coroner's offices, and other emergency services.
Key Responsibilities:

- Source Communication: Establish and maintain relationships with local law enforcement, fire departments, and coroner's offices to gather information and updates on incidents.
- Writing and Editing: Write clear, concise, and engaging news articles that adhere to journalistic standards and company guidelines. Edit content for accuracy and clarity.
- Multimedia Integration: Collaborate with photographers and videographers to enhance stories with compelling visuals and audio.
- Social Media Engagement: Utilize social media platforms to share breaking news updates and engage with the community.
