Social Media Intern

                                                       Social Media Intern

Role Summary 

The Social Media Intern(s) provides students or recent graduates the opportunity to work with the Marketing Department and gain hands-on experience working with our marketing department and in a working press box. This role's main function is contributing to our in-game social media efforts and writing game stories. Hours for this role vary, but mostly on gamedays, which consists of nights, weekends, and some holidays. Please apply to our careers page at this link: 6194800:Career Search

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Write game stories for all home and road games and post to team's official website. 
  • Contribute to the team's social media efforts before, during, and after all games, including Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Support Digital Marketing Manager and Social Media Specialist with team and in-game experiences during home games. 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Current enrollment or recent graduate with a bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Broadcast Production, or related field. 
  • Willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. 
  • Ability to execute a number of tasks at the same time and working well under pressure. 
  • Strong knowledge of baseball. 
  • Organized and attentive to detail. 
  • Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. 

Nice to Have's

  • Experience editing short form video content (TikTok, Reels).
  • Comfortable engaging with fans, approaching them, and filming authentic content for our social media platforms.
