Business Development Representative

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE WANTED

We are looking for a pleasant and competitive Business Development Representative who thrives on maintaining current business relationships and attracting new customers. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. Entry-level applicants with an ability to learn quickly are encouraged to apply. Guidance will be provided.

Business Development Representative duties and responsibilities

· Provide information on company services

· Assist customers in finding the correct solution for their specific environmental situation

· Provide advice and guidance on service selection to customers

· Build lasting relationships with customers by contacting them to follow up on services and suggest service options

· Consistently seek new company knowledge to act as an expert for the customer

· Present services using interactive materials such as videos, charts, slideshows etc.

· Set up booths or promotional stands and attend trade shows, industry meeting and events (occasionally after-hours or on weekends)

· Disseminate company information, brochures, flyers etc.

· Visit businesses to deliver company promotional materials and meet with existing and prospective new clients.

· Engage with customers and discover their wants and needs

· Develop lists of prospective clients from sources such as company records, industry events and customers.

· Learn about competitors' services and clients' interests and concerns in order to answer questions and provide more complete information.

· Cultivate new business opportunities, expand existing work with established clients and recognize opportunities for new sales and clients

Business Development Representative requirements and qualifications

· Enthusiastic and self-motivated

· Previous experience in business development or company promotion a plus

· Customer oriented

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and strong computer skills

· Strong presentation and social skills

· Outstanding organizational and time management skills

· Detail-oriented and good at problem-solving

· Hardworking with an outgoing personality

· Degree in Marketing or similar preferred

· Valid driver’s license & drug-free (pre-employment and on-going drug testing)
