The Center for Schools & Communities (CSC), a statewide education, training and technical assistance organization, is seeking qualified candidates for Center for Schools and Communities Project Specialist.
This position will be responsible will be responsible for collaborating with program staff on the CPSEL and ICPS initiatives. t This individual will work alongside agency staff and provide resources, reports, event planning, technical assistance, and other products related to the contract deliverables contained in the CSC’s work statements. This individual will serve as the project lead for large professional development conferences, webinars, trainings, and other instruction. This position is responsible for controlling all aspects of large events and is responsible for contract deliverables and funder goals. Special projects will be assigned as the need arises.

Salary: $47,900 -54,500 dependent on qualifications. This is an exempt position working a 260 day per year, 12-month work schedule. This full-time position follows a regular Monday through Friday (37.5 hours per week) work schedule which may allow for the opportunity to follow a hybrid work schedule consisting of three (3) days in-office work at the Center for Schools and Communities office located in Camp Hill, PA location and two (2) days telework from home and/or approved off-site locations. In addition, face-to-face interaction with clients, meetings and trainings may be required on days deemed as teleworking days. Certain requirements, based upon CSIU telework policy and administrative regulations, must be met. The CSIU has the right to cancel or suspend the employee teleworking privileges at any time, for any or no reason due to the requirement of the CSIU and client needs.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- A Bachelor's degree in education, social services, information sciences or a related field and minimum five (5) years of related paid work experience preferred. Will consider an Associate’s degree and minimum eight (8) years related paid work experience or a High School Diploma/equivalent General Education Diploma (GED) and minimum of 13 years related paid work experience.
- Knowledge of project management methods and techniques to ensure the coordination of internal and external clients and processes to achieve desired outcomes.
- Advanced computer skills required, such as proficiency in FileMaker, Microsoft Word, Excel, Zoom and PowerPoint.
- Advanced skills in Zoom such as setting up registration, adding polling questions, opening the room, creating breakout sessions and using the Zoom Interpretation feature.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to complete complex projects in an efficient and effective manner.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work assignments.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients both internal and external.
- Excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication and public speaking skills.
- Excellent research skills, utilizing the internet as well as print and other sources. Proficiency in the use of appropriate technology to carry out assigned duties efficiently, as described above.
- Experience in group processes, public relations, and conflict resolution is desirable and the ability to work successfully with diverse people.
- Ability to keep up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to your job. Includes adapting to and mastering new system applications and processes as implemented.
