Research Scientist
LifeSensors, Inc. is a global leader in research involving the Ubiquitin Proteasome System (UPS) a cellular pathway that degrades damaged proteins. UPS provides a challenge as a new wave of drugs are emerging, such as PROtein TArgeting Chimeras (PROTACs) and Molecular Glues that target undruggable space. Our technologies are used worldwide by academic, pharma, and biotech companies. As the company grows, it is critical that we continue to innovate. The Scientist will join a team that develops innovative technologies, executes drug discovery projects for our clients, as well as drive the development of new product applications. Responsibilities:
- Learn and assist in the design and execution of various research projects and product/technology development.
- Learn and execute PROTAC and molecular glue drug discovery experiments.
- Perform experiments on proteins and enzymes of UPS.
- Maintain an accurate and detailed lab notebook.
- Execute a variety of biochemical and molecular assays and/or processes.
- Be attentive to detail, organize and complete tasks in a timely fashion.
- Maintain and further develop the interests of LifeSensors by writing scientific articles, patents, and presenting data.
Qualifications:
- BS or MS in biological sciences or related degree.
- 0-2 years of laboratory experience in an academic or industrial setting.
- Experience in biochemistry and molecular biology.
- Ability to work in a highly entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability to adapt quickly to change and manage multiple priorities.
- Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team.
