The JCC Camp Ruach Photographer works on-site daily at the JCC Camp Ruach campgrounds. The photographer is responsible for capturing photos of the camp day across all age groups and activity periods. These photos will be shared on private platforms with guardians of enrolled campers, on social media pages, and used in marketing material.

The photographer will be responsible for capturing photos, editing, and uploading photos daily to the online platform. There is a need for both high volume of photos to be taken along with high quality. The majority of the camp day is spent outdoors with the exception of editing and uploading time.

A successful photographer will foster connection with the campers and staff in order to capture excellent photos that reflect the camp day.

Camper ages: 2 years old - 9th grade

Activities include: art, story time, sports, music, playground, STEM, aquatics, court and field sports, team building, snack, lunch, group games

Schedule: June 23 - August 15, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Friday

Compensation: $4,000 for the 8 week camp season

What You'll Do

  • Bring Our Brand to Life
  • Share the magic of camp with the extended camp community through photography
  • Become a brand ambassador of JCC Camp Ruach
  • Collect content on day-to-day activities while adhering to proper safety, privacy, and photography policies to give parents and families insight into the camp day and activities
  • Capture the diversity of campers and programming activities in photos
  • Actively participate in our efforts to take care of our camp facility and community
  • Be an active member of the Marketing & Camp Team
  • Arrive on time, communicate schedule changes promptly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Major in Marketing, Photography, Communications, or Public Relations preferred but not required.
  • Experience with photographing children in outdoors and/or action shots
  • Experience with photo editing
  • Flexible and strong time management skills.
  • Experience working with or being around children
  • Comfortable working in hot and outdoor environments throughout the 14 acre campgrounds
