Administrative Support - District Attorney's Office

Oneida County is accepting applications to fill a full-time Administrative Support position with the District Attorney’s Office within the Oneida County Courthouse. 

 

JOB DUTIES:  This position performs a variety of secretarial and administrative tasks, and is frequently under time constraints to complete tasks within strict court deadlines.  The position has significant public contact that will require patience, understanding and tact. 

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:  Qualified individuals must have a high school degree or equivalent, and one-year post high school education in an Administrative Assistant or Secretarial Science program or related.  The ideal candidate will have some legal knowledge and understanding of court proceedings, the ability to type 60 wpm, be highly organized, self-motivated, have excellent computer skills, the ability to provide customer service while observing confidentiality, and excellent communication skills.

 

WAGES AND BENEFITS:  Starting 2025 wage for this position is $20.81 per hour plus excellent benefit package, including Wisconsin Retirement benefits, affordable health, dental and vision insurance and a PTO (Paid Time Off) package with the ability to carry unused PTO into future years. 

 

WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULE:  Position works 40 hours per week.  The position would work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a half-hour unpaid lunch.  Some flexibility provided at the discretion of the District Attorney.
