We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Digital Pathology Intern to support CND Life Sciences' application development, software evaluation, and digital pathology operations. This role provides hands-on experience in a cutting-edge environment, working closely with cross-functional teams in IT, software development, and digital pathology operations. The intern will gain valuable experience in digital pathology technology, application development, and operational workflows while contributing to innovative projects that drive the future of healthcare.
Location: 9165 E Del Camino Dr suite 101, Scottsdale, AZ 85258
Compensation: This is a paid 3-month internship position. The intern will work 20 hours per week and compensation is $17.31 per hour. The intern will be hired through the Opportunity Through Entrepreneurship Foundation.
REQUIRED: Undergraduate or Graduate student and Arizona resident pursuing a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, or a related field)
Responsibilities:
- Application Support: Assist in testing and troubleshooting digital pathology software and applications.
- Application Evaluation: Participate in evaluating new and existing digital pathology tools, documenting features, and providing feedback.
- Operations Assistance: Support digital pathology workflows, including data organization and process improvements.
- Documentation & Reporting: Help maintain project records, prepare summaries, and contribute to technical documentation.
- Research & Development: Conduct background research on digital pathology technologies and industry best practices
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Interest in learning programming languages like Python or experience with data management is a plus but not required.
- Interest in technology applications in healthcare and life sciences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Other:
- Combination of seated and standing work to complete the core functions of the role.
- Adherence to company safety policy.
- The position is based at the Company’s Scottsdale-area headquarters and must be on site a minimum of 3-4 days per week with schedule coordinated with manager
