WHO YOU ARE

You are an eager individual who is looking for an opportunity to help children with special needs reach their full potential. As a Summer Intern, you will be hands-on within the business assisting with clerical work, sitting in on education and therapy sessions, and engaging directly with the students. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Clerical Support - Assist with clerical tasks of the business during the school day
• Observation - Sit in and observe educational or therapeutic sessions with teachers and providers
• Engagement - Be directly engaged with our summer students 
• Other responsibilities as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
• Willing to commit to the intern position for the entirety of our 6-week Extended School Year Program 
• Willing to learn, get hands-on experience, and support the Hope team
• Able to commit 30 hours per week physically at the facility 
• Experience working with individuals with developmental delays (Preferred)

Clearances & Training Required

• Act 33 PA Child Abuse History Clearance
• Act 34 PA State Criminal History Clearance
• Act 114 FBI Clearance issued by the Dept of Education
• Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
• Act 168 from Previous Employers where you came into contact with children
• CPR/First Aid
• TB/Physical
