About the Role
Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc. is one of America’s largest pistachio grower and processors with ownership of over 10,000 acres of pistachio orchards and 130-acre processing facility. Located in the heart of the San Joaquin valley in California, Setton attends to each detail of growing, harvesting, processing, manufacturing, and packaging pistachios. Setton employs the best strategies and practices in the industry in operating our state-of-the-art processing facility. As a Setton Intern, you will learn from our experienced team in this hands-on summer long program held at our Terra Bella, Ca facility. (Beginning in June and ending in July/August)
What You’ll Do
You will work in multiple departments within the company including Grower Relations, Quality Assurance, Engineering/Automation, Production, Capital Improvements and Logistics so that you can gain an understanding of what it takes to grow, process, pack, and ship pistachios.
Attend and participate in all required department meetings. Be prepared to offer input, answer questions, and write reports, as necessary.
Execute small-scale capital projects under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager and project engineers.
Work alongside engineers on current Robotics projects in industry leading technology.
Work with QA Supervisors to oversee the adherence to product specifications, ensuring customer standards for freshness, taste and packaging integrity are met, ensuring our water supply exceeds municipal water safety standards
Attend all required safety-training modules.
Food Safety is the responsibility of all Setton Farms employees. All Setton manufacturing employees must follow all Safety/HACCP/ GMP regulations to include wearing of all required personal protective equipment, facemasks, bump cap, hair net, and earplugs.

Who You Are
You can be studying any major in a 4-year university to apply.
Must be currently enrolled in a four (4) –year accredited university and in your third year of university.
You are open to feedback and communicate well verbally and in writing.
You can work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30 pm but could vary depending on project needs.
You’re able to maneuver around the office and plant, can lift to 35 pounds, and can perform repetitive moments like squatting, bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing, with or without reasonable accommodation.
You have an attitude of taking initiative, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn.
You are interested in career opportunities with Setton after your internship is completed.

As an Intern you will be paid $25/Hour
