Logistics/Operations Manager

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager 

 

LOCATION: Rocky River, OH

 

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

 

The Logistics Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Operations team by managing daily logistics, ensuring smooth coordination with suppliers, and assisting in strategic planning. This role requires a hands-on approach to problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. The candidate will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.

 

We are seeking an upcoming college graduate (Summer 2025) or a recent college graduate. The ideal candidate must have a background in business/operations, with previous internship experience preferred. Candidates must either currently live or plan to live in the Cleveland, Ohio area.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 

· Assist the Operations Manager and COO in planning and implementing logistics strategies.

 

· Provide regular updates on supplier performance and delivery timelines.

 

· Coordinate communication between suppliers and internal teams to resolve order discrepancies.

 

· Prepare and maintain reports on inventory, logistics, and supplier performance for leadership review.

 

· Support the operations team in identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency.

 

· Collaborate with the Operations Manager to assign item numbers and UPC codes.

 

· Assist in issuing purchase orders and monitoring inbound logistics.

 

· Communicate and address order discrepancies with suppliers.

 

· Support rework planning and inventory management at the warehouse.

 

· Aid in customer labeling requirements and item setup in customer systems.

 

· Help coordinate the annual physical inventory project and monthly inventory reconciliation.

Collaborative Expectations:

 

· Foster collaboration with key stakeholders, including third-party logistics providers, warehouse staff, and IT partners.

 

· Build strong relationships with customs brokers and suppliers to ensure seamless communication.

 

· Maintain alignment across all functional areas to support operational goals.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field (or expected graduation by Summer 2025).

 

· Strong organizational and analytical skills.

 

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

· Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

 

· Previous internship or related work experience is highly preferred.

 

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with logistics management tools is a plus.
