Morning Care Support Staff
EXTENDED CARE SUPPORT STAFF ST. MARY SCHOOL
St. Mary School Chardon is looking for 1 enthusiastic
individual to join our Morning Care Support Staff team.
The Morning Care Support Staff is responsible for
operating the after-school care program and working
closely with the Extended Care Coordinator. The
Morning Care Support Staff assists with the coordination of
activities to include opportunities for homework/
study time, physical activities, and quiet play/
independent activities. The Morning Care Support Staff
should have or be willing to obtain a current First Aid
certificate and be Virtus trained and must comply with
Ohio Revised Code 3319.39- Criminal Records Check.
This is a part-time position/non-exempt.
Specific Responsibilities:
To supervise the students at all times, ensuring
their well-being and safety
To recognize the needs of children at different
stages of development
To actively plan, implement and evaluate the
after-school care program
Ability to make adjustments to increase the
positive outcomes of the program
To work with staff members as a team when
collaborating on the needs of the students.
Implement behavior plans as directed by
school staff
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
High school diploma preferred
Experience working with children with
multiple abilities
Excellent skills in both verbal and written
communication
Ability to work both independently or within a
team
Proficient at communicating with parents and
colleagues
Flexible thinker
Enthusiastic, driven, and independent
Strong organizational skills
Hours of work:
The Morning Care program operates from 7:00am
until 9:00am. The Morning Care Support Staff is required
to report from 6:45am to set up and is required to
stay until 9:00 when our preschool program begins. The Morning Care
Support Staff should clean-up prior to leaving. The
Morning Care Support Staff reports to the Principal. Please
