Research Lab Tech I, Pathology

General Summary

Brigham and Women’s Hospital, affiliate of Harvard Medical School and a world leader in biomedical research, is looking for an exceptional candidate to join a multidisciplinary team led by Jonathan Tsai, M.D., Ph.D. Principal Investigator in the Division of Pathology. The group utilizes emerging technologies in epigenetics, CRISPR screening, and molecular biology to probe the mechanisms of protein degradation and epigenetic regulation in diseases. Our research program is undergoing a phase of growth, and this position offers a unique opportunity to shape the development of this program.

We are searching for a talented, organized, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic individual to support these efforts. The candidate’s background must demonstrate a proven ability to contribute to high-quality research projects, working both collaboratively and with areas of independence. Working under the general supervision of Dr. Tsai, the successful candidate will conduct a variety of experiments with established methodologies. Responsibilities would also include analysis of data using basic statistics, and literature searches under the supervision of the supervisor. Based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate, the candidate may work with greater independence, develop modified and new techniques, serve in a supervisory role, and be responsible for orienting and training new staff. The level and salary of the position would be commensurate with the qualifications of the successful candidate.
