Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction and the Director of Curriculum, the primary role of the Instructional Coach-Mathematics is to support teaching and learning through modeling, coaching and professional development to improve and accelerate student achievement through quality curriculum and instruction. The Instructional Coach-Mathematics is a certified, highly-qualified teacher who demonstrates leadership skills and has expertise in curriculum, instructional strategies, classroom management, and adult learning theory. This position is available for the 2025-2026 school year.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid state of Illinois Professional Educator License with Self-Contained General Education and/or required endorsement for grade level;
- Mathematics endorsement or 18 hours in mathematics;
- Four or more years of successful teaching experience at the elementary level;
- Knowledge of adult learning processes and strategies;
- Demonstrated facilitation experiences in providing adult professional development;
- Demonstrated experiences with MTSS and tiered instruction;
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
- Knowledge of the process of educational change;
- Superior problem-solving and critical thinking skills;
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics;
- Strong communication, and public relation skills.
Salary:
- Starting salary of $49,029; (Please click the link to view the current (salary schedule);
- Salary is commensurate with education and experience;
- Qualified candidates may be granted up to twenty years of verified full-time teaching experience for credit on the salary schedule;
