
Certified Paralegal Case Manager
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Certified Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in Estate Planning, Probate, Non-Profit Law, and some Fiduciary Litigation. This role requires strong legal knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Compensation is negotiable. We will consider Full-Time, Part-Time (minimum 20 hours per week), or Contract. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Weekends are not required. For the right candidate, remote attendance or a hybrid schedule may be considered.
Duties
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records using legal case management software (Clio).
- Assist in the preparation and drafting of legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and estate planning documents.
- Transcribe legal documents and correspondence with precision.
- Perform data entry tasks to ensure all information is up-to-date and accessible.
- Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
- Organize and schedule meetings, court dates, and deadlines for various cases.
- Support attorneys during trials by preparing exhibits and other necessary materials.
- E-file pleadings and e-record documents in county clerks' official records.
- Communicate effectively with the court and court staff.
- Create, manage, and report KPIs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Certified Paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm or legal department. Please do not apply if you are a new graduate and/or are inexperienced or non-certified.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures related to Estate Planning and Probate.
- Proficiency in legal drafting and document preparation, including proofreading.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all tasks performed.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal; must exhibit professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Must be a Texas notary public or able to be commissioned as a Texas notary public.
- Strong technical skills; must be experienced with Microsoft Office 365.
- Record billable time in real-time and meet or exceed billable hours KPIs.
- Must be able to pass background check.
