Secondary Mathematics Teacher- Long Term Substitute

Padua Academy is currently seeking qualified applicants for a temporary, full-time Mathematics teacher with a focus on Statistics. The position will run from early February until mid-June.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Mathematics and/or Secondary Education degree in Mathematics or Business
  • Certification preferred
  • Previous Mathematics teaching experience at the secondary level
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with technology including the use of Smartboard, TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculator, and MacBook computer
  • Appreciation and understanding of the mission of Padua Academy and the ability to articulate its mission

Responsibilities

  • Teach multiple sections of Statistics, including Honors and AP levels. Additional class may include Business Management
  • Implement the use of learning management systems for planning and instruction
  • Implement the use of technology (1:1 Mac program, SMART boards, graphing calculators)
  • Partner with school administration, guidance counselors, and parents to support student success
  • Differentiate instruction to meet students' learning needs
