Marketing and Graphic Design Intern

Position Overview 

The Marketing Assistant Intern reports to the Project Coordinator and supports the daily activities of the staff for CE Synergy engaged in marketing for and managing educational conferences/events and supporting the development of non-CE programs. The qualities of a successful candidate include strong organizational skills and experience in marketing and administrative duties; superior interpersonal and client communication skills; exceptional project support skills; the ability to work independently, collaboratively, and adhere to project-related deadlines. 

 

Primary Duties

Marketing & Graphic Design Support

  • Assists the Project Coordinator with ongoing marketing campaigns, through Mailchimp primarily
  • Assists with content creation and management for social media accounts; including LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Assists with copywriting and editing of marketing materials
  • Assists with basic graphic design; by use of Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Assists with website maintenance for three websites; by use of Wordpress
  • May need to travel to Atlanta for one night for company meeting (Spring), and Salt Lake City for ATOPP Summit conference (Summer)
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned by the Project Coordinator, Project Management Administrator, CE Director(s), or CEO

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency with word processing, presentation software, spreadsheets, and online search engines 
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Some overnight US travel may be required
  • Knowledge of social media platforms

Work Environment 

Ability to handle multiple priorities and demands in a fast-paced environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Ability to work in team fostered, multi-tasked environment. Requires confidence and focus in fast-paced and demanding environments with ability to adapt to change quickly. 

 

This position requires some travel (nmt 1-3x per year)
