Tax Specialist
Tax
- Lead the annual and quarterly US income tax provision process including the effective tax rate, deferred tax calculations, taxes payable, uncertain tax positions, tax account reconciliations, journal entries, and other supporting schedules.
- Manage KSOX internal controls compliance and reporting in income tax accounting, including the design, documentation, and execution of new tax controls as needed.
- Monitor, analyze, and report changes to U.S. and foreign tax laws and regulations to determine the financial statement impact.
- Research and analyze complex tax issues and transactions, timely assessing the income tax, and accounting impact and communicating findings to senior management.
- Collaborate with Treasury, Legal, Human Resources, Business Units, and other corporate office teams to align data flow requirements that effectively meet global reporting and compliance requirements.
- Income tax budgeting and forecast process including the monthly global cash tax forecast reporting.
- Responsible for the Company’s compliance with all U.S. federal income tax laws and regulations through leading the timely and accurate preparation of the Company’s consolidated federal tax return and performing/reviewing more complex processes and reconciliations in the build of the federal return.
- Manage the audit defense process including, ensuring appropriate issue analysis and negotiation of audit settlements and continued development of relationship with the IRS and other tax authorities based on trust and transparency.
- Support the identification, development, and implementation of tax planning opportunities to continue to optimize both the Company’s worldwide effective tax rate and cash tax outlay.
- Assist with planning, structuring, and reporting of acquisitions and divestitures including, modeling of the tax implications of a transaction, purchase accounting, and tax elections.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 4 years of income tax experience managing and developing a diverse group of tax professionals.
- Expertise in complex federal and international tax concepts applicable to corporations.
- Significant experience in managing and preparing federal income tax returns
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Capable of communicating complex tax concepts and recommendations effectively to executive management.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills, including effective prioritization of tasks, strong multi-tasking abilities, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Highly skilled in MS Office suite (primarily Word and Excel).
- Works comfortably with complex legal entity structures; demonstrates knowledge of assigned companies and related federal tax issues.
- Works well independently, as well as part of a team, fostering teamwork.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills including the ability to coach, develop, and manage the performance of a diverse team of professionals.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Licensed CPA (either active or inactive)
- Bachelors or master’s degree in Taxation.
- Bi-lingual (English & Korean)
- SAP Experience is a Plus but not required
- ERP experience Or Tax filing/research

Degree Level: Bachelors
Field: Accounting, Finance, or related field
REQUIRED SKILLS
• 4+ years of relevant experience in a public accounting practice
• Experience with complex corporate tax returns.

• Excellent computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft
Office, especially Excel
