The City of Elk Grove Police Department is seeking a strategic and effective leader to become the next Police Budget and Finance Manager. The ideal candidate is an experienced financial professional with a deep understanding of public sector budgeting and fiscal management. They must possess the ability to manage complex budgets, oversee financial reporting, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical by nature, and adept at identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency. The Police Budget & Finance Manager will consistently demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills and exemplify a collaborative decision-making philosophy and approach. Working effectively with staff, command staff, other departments, council members and the community is essential for this role. In addition to managing competing priorities and evolving departmental needs, an unwavering commitment to supporting public safety initiatives through sound financial practices, including integrity, accountability, and a commitment to ethical financial stewardship, is essential.
