Marketing Associate (Contractor)

Reports To: VP of Marketing

Location: NYC preferred, Remote ok on a case-by-case basis

Hours: 40 hours / week

Pay: $30-$35/hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a Marketing Associate (Contractor) eager to dive into all facets of DTC marketing and who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on our marketing efforts while gaining hands-on experience across various channels. Key Responsibilities:

Influencer Coordination (~50% of focus)

  • Identify, outreach to, and build relationships with influencers aligned with our brand
  • Manage ongoing communications, campaign deliverables, and performance tracking

Retention Marketing

  • Support email marketing efforts, including planning, scheduling, and performance reporting
  • Assist in developing content and campaigns that resonate with our customers

Social Media Management

  • Plan and schedule social media content that aligns with marketing goals
  • Post regularly and monitor engagement to foster community growth

Exploring New Channels

  • Provide support for launching and optimizing new marketing channels, such as direct mail

General Marketing Support

  • Be ready to roll up your sleeves and tackle a variety of marketing tasks
  • Contribute to team brainstorms, campaign execution, and performance analysis

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in influencer at a DTC brand preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo), social media management tools, PR pitching, and affiliate platforms is a plus
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Passion for DTC marketing and a willingness to learn and grow in a startup environment
