Role Summary
The Special Events Assistant is responsible to aid in the successful execution of events at the Mud Hens, Hensville, and Walleye. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, engaging environment while contributing to memorable guest experiences. As part of the event staff, you'll assist in the execution of a variety of events, ensuring that every detail runs smoothly, and that guests leave with lasting positive impressions.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup, execution, and breakdown of events, including concerts, community activities, and private gatherings.
- Provide exceptional customer service, acting as a friendly and approachable point of contact for guests.
- Monitor event spaces to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with venue policies.
- Support crowd management by guiding guests and providing directions as needed, which may include collecting/scanning tickets or verifying wristbands and badges.
- Collaborate with other team members to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Assist vendors, performers, and partners with event-related needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must be 17 years old.
- Previous experience in events, customer service, or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests and team members effectively.
- Problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

Working Environment/Physical Requirements
- Work is primarily performed in an event venue setting, which may include both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Noise levels may vary depending on the event, requiring adaptability.
