IT Engineering Intern

Position Summary:

This position will support the IT team in various aspects of development and maintenance and help support continuous improvement of processes, workflow, associate work activity and logistics. This position offers opportunities to work with a wide variety of aspects in IT.

Essential functions of this job include:

  • Maintain various databases and reporting systems.
  • Install, maintain, and repair computers, monitors, and other company hardware.
  • Install and troubleshoot various types of software.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

  • Must have transportation to and from Greenfield, IN facility. (Not a remote position)
  • Working on Engineering or Technical Degree or have been accepted into and planning on attending a post-secondary education facility for Engineering or Technical education.
  • Ability to make quick, accurate, data driven decisions and utilize excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy with both personal computers and manufacturing systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Programming/coding experience
  • Knowledge of Glovia, EDI, Microsoft .NET
  • Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing

Essential to Job Functions – Physical and/or Mental Restrictions:

  • Ability to work for long periods of time while sitting
  • Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the workday
  • Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen

Software:

  • Intermediate experience required in Windows, MSWord, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Project Management Software preferred (MS Project)

 

Description of Duties and Responsibilities % of Time Spent Performing Duties 

Assigned project for completion during duration of Internship.  45%

Maintenance of various systems and databases. 40%

Other duties assigned. 10%

Maintenance of company hardware.  5%

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy
  • Maintains clean and orderly work environment
  • Interacts with various levels of associates in a professional manner
