Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for activity and support for the Production Control Manager or their team. The purpose of this position is to assist with ensuring mass production meets customer requirements.
This position offers opportunities to work with a wide variety of aspects of the manufacturing processes, a wide variety of departments and levels of management within the company both domestic and international. Essential functions of this job include:
- Order and confirm inventory according to the production plan.
- Production scheduling.
- Confirmation of finished goods inventories and shipment status to customers.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
- Must have transportation to and from Greenfield, IN facility. (Not a remote position)
- Working on associate or bachelor’s degree or attending a post-secondary education facility in Supply Chain Management or similar programs.
- Ability to make quick, accurate, data driven decisions and utilize excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy with both personal computers and manufacturing systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in Supply Chain Management.
- Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc.

- Ability to work for long periods of time while sitting
- Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the workday
- Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen
Software:
- Intermediate experience required in Windows, MSWord, PowerPoint, and Excel
Description of Duties and Responsibilities % of Time Spent Performing Duties
Assigned project for completion during duration of Internship. 20%
Evaluate and maintain production planning spreadsheets, communicate plan to production team, update planning software 20%
Confirm inventory levels and investigate/reconcile production inventory discrepancies 20%
Utilize and evaluate customer data to plan production and purchases 15%
Evaluate and maintain finished goods inventories at acceptable levels 10%
Issue Purchase Orders to suppliers per procedures. Maintain tracking and reporting. Follow up on delivery of purchased items 10%
Other duties assigned 5%
