Payroll Coordinator
PAYROLL COORDINATOR
Board Office-52 Weeks
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or equivalent preferred
- Two years of experience in school payroll preferred
- Experience and aptitude in the use of Excel and Microsoft Word required
- BusinessPlus Application experience preferred
- Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude required
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally, electronically, and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member
- Ability to handle a multitude of issues/responsibilities with attention to detail and minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Bi-weekly payroll processing
- Settlement of all liability accounts related to payroll on a biweekly basis via accounts payable check runs or ACH payments
- Maintain compliance with all payroll taxing entities
- Maintain payroll files
- Maintain compliance with all union agreements
- Monitor and administer employee contributions to TSA’s and compliance with maximum contribution limits and IRS regulations
- Complete final payroll details for retiring employees
- Load salary contracts and hourly data in payroll system
- Assist employees via phone calls and emails
- Reconcile/monitor employee absences in RedRover system
- Assist with annual audits
- Other duties as may be assigned by management
