Spring Associate (Post Bar Exam Law Clerk)

​​Position: Spring Associate (Post Bar Exam Law Clerk)

Compensation: $2,900 per week (Full-time, Non-Exempt)

Eligibility: Must have a JD Degree and plan to take the February 2025 California Bar Exam

Locations: Irvine, CA and Torrance CA (No Remote Work Available)

Program Dates: March 11, 2025 to May 1, 2025 (Please note this is a Temporary Position.)

Program Description: This program serves as a hands-on evaluation period to assess your readiness for a full-time Associate Attorney role. Successful Spring Associates will receive a conditional offer of full-time employment, pending admission to the California Bar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft legal pleadings, memoranda, discovery plans, and other case-related documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support ongoing litigation.
  • Propound and respond to discovery, including form and special interrogatories, requests for production of documents, and subpoenas.
  • Work collaboratively with attorneys and paralegals on complex estate, trust, and conservatorship cases.
  • Assist in client relationship management to instill trust and confidence in our firm.
  • Utilize legal practice management software and tools efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain organized case files, databases, and supporting documentation.
  • Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Participate in strategy meetings and contribute to achieving client objectives.

Qualifications

  • You must be registered to take the February 2025 California Bar Exam
  • You must have strong organizational skills, maturity, good judgment, and intellectual curiosity, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • You must have the ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • You must have computer skills, including proficiency in Google Suite
  • Preferred candidates will have demonstrated a track record of success in professional or extracurricular endeavors
