Winelco Inc. is a long standing, highly respected company that provides a wide variety of professional services in the field of water treatment and wastewater treatment.  Our headquarters are located at 6141 Centre Park Dr., West Chester, Ohio.

Winelco Inc. is presently seeking a candidate for the position of Certified Ohio Water Operator and/or Certified Ohio Wastewater Operator.  If you do not hold a license but are interested in pursuing a career in this field we will consider providing the necessary training.

Skills and qualities to be successful at this job: 

• Physically fit
• Able to work independently without supervision
• Have a reasonable amount of mechanical aptitude- able to learn how to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Willing to perform physical tasks as required in the field
• Have a good driving record and be comfortable routinely driving to several different facilities throughout the work day
• An academic or experience background is helpful but not required in the fields of biology, botany, limnology, civil engineering, environmental engineering; an associate degree or bachelor degree are very helpful but not required.
• Able to communicate with co-workers, clients and regulatory agencies
• Administrative ability, particularly basic record keeping and reporting

Not too many people know much about drinking water treatment or wastewater treatment.  Most individuals in these fields learned on the job. It is a job that isn’t for everyone.  However, if you like to work on your own, enjoy the challenge of troubleshooting water/wastewater treatment facilities and value providing clean public drinking water and highly treated, clean effluents to streams then this job could very well agree with you.

The systems that we operate generally are in the range of 500 to 100,000 gallons per day.  Most of these facilities are in rural locations or just out of reach of municipal facilities.  Most are in Southwest and Central Ohio.  A typical day might involve driving to 4-6 different locations, provide the required staffing requirements, evaluate the treatment system and make the proper adjustments to see that they are working to the best of their capabilities. 

Winelco Inc. also designs and constructs these treatment facilities and our operators are often involved in the process. 

Winelco Inc. provides benefits such as paid holidays, vacation time, personal days, medical insurance and a 401-K plan.  Salary varies from $19 to $30/hour depending on your value and contribution to the company.
