Sales Executive - West
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sales Executive (SE) is responsible for selling all Orchard products to small-to-mid-sized new business partners within a defined region. Successful candidates must be able to work effectively and efficiently within a large, high volume territory while traveling to meet and exceed set sales goals and increase the opportunity pipeline.
We are looking for a proactive hunter. To be successful, you must possess good verbal and non-verbal communications skills, the ability to work well with people in person, via internet communication platforms, and over the phone. You must be capable of effectively handling multiple tasks and working with a variety of people at all levels internally and externally to Orchard, be dependable, flexible, detail oriented, organized, friendly, and professional.
Travel for this position can be extensive (up to 70%). The SE must be able to cover expenses and then submit expenses to be reimbursed according to the normal expense reimbursement policies of Orchard Software.

Sales:
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives for the defined territory.
- Continuously work to increase territory funnel to ensure future territory success.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead complex sales opportunities throughout the entire sales process, from prospect to close.
- Track and document sales activity related to new business partners within CRM software such as closes, forecasted opportunities, prospect information, calls, meetings, and presentations.
- Provide regular territory overview and insights to Orchard Leadership.
- Make sound decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
- Translate challenges into practical solutions.
- Build relationships and pro-actively involve other personnel to ensure success within the sales process, and subsequently, the operational implementation of closed opportunities.

Education:
- Ability to regularly assess all sales related skills by self and accept feedback by others and follow those assessments with necessary improvement efforts.
- Work with other Orchard Departments (Operations, Product Management, Accounting, & Training) to improve product and industry knowledge.
- Individual growth through various modalities, such as industry articles, books, Orchard sponsored training, and tradeshows.

- Attend trade shows as directed by Orchard Leadership.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Work experience in medical software sales industry preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, make effective presentations, and close business.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal and non-verbal).
- Possess the ability to foster strong interpersonal relationships between groups.
- Consistent top performer defined by meeting/exceeding set sales goals.
- Demonstrated knowledge of product and industry.
- Ability to identify key decision makers and work at the "C" level
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize.
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Must possess a strong drive to succeed.
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
- Typical office environment, able to sit and do computer work/phone calls; must be able to move in and out of laboratory environments.
- Domestic travel required up to 70% of the time. This will require air travel, overnight stays, and the ability to utilize the services of national rental car agencies.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range: $54,000 - $74,900.
This position is eligible for commission.
