Sales and Event Captain

Sales and events!?  Say less! We have an opening at our flagship store for someone passionate about helping customers look and feel their best and who loves hosting revenue-driving events in the store.

Joyville, Inc. is a retail company based in Dallas, Texas, operating four distinct retail concepts: Favor the Kind, ROAM Fine Goods, Earnest John, and The Friend Ship.

Our flagship store, Favor the Kind in Dallas, is seeking a Sales and Event Captain to join our sales team and oversee in-store events. This role offers a unique partnership with the company's marketing department, providing an excellent entry-level opportunity that can lead to future marketing positions within the organization.

The Sales and Events Captain will play an integral part in the success of the company by:

  • Growing sales in the department
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with loyal customers
  • Acting as Manager on Duty two days per week
  • Managing a monthly events program hosting a minimum of 2 store events per month
  • Networking with community organizations for event partnerships
  • Partnering with the Marketing team to strategize and implement marketing for events
  • Partnering with the Marketing team weekly to contribute to and participate in social media content

A typical week consists of:

  • A 40-hour predictable work schedule
  • Every other weekend off
  • 85% of the week is on the sales floor
  • 15% of the week is spent managing, planning events, and completing reports, HQ collaboration, and strategizing goals.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • ENTHUSIASM: An authentic interest in serving the customer's needs
  • GOAL DRIVEN: The ability to recognize, strategize, and communicate growth opportunities
  • LEADERSHIP: As a leader in the organization, this role will be accountable to high standards and help train others.
  • EXPERIENCE: Retail experience is preferred but not required. The salary offered will reflect the candidate's experience level.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

  • We offer a transparent pay scale based on leadership skills. Entry-level positions start at $44k. Mid-level managers start at $50K. Directors start at $60K.  We nurture and encourage leadership growth within the organization.
