Mental Health Itinerant
Under direction, provides early childhood mental health consultation support and services to address the behavioral and mental health needs of enrolled children and their families. Responsibilities include a focus on providing early intervention and prevention services to improve the emotional well-being, cognitive skills, general adaptive functioning, and social competence of individual children; providing a broad range of services, including early childhood mental health consultation in classrooms and through home visits, training and coaching staff, screening, assessment and referral services, and providing parent trainings; maintaining confidentiality at all times; composing documents and/or update documents; assisting in preparation of reports, presentations, and other related documents and functions; performing other related duties, as assigned.
Requirements:
Completion of four (4) year college degree in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Special Education or equivalent combinations of training and/or experience and minimum of two (2) years of experience in a mental health setting providing prevention services and/or mental health intervention to young children and families. Should be familiar with the social, emotional, behavioral, developmental and academic milestones of children birth through kindergarten. Proficient computer/word processing aptitude (i.e. ability to work in MS Applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook); Valid State of Ohio Driver's License and transportation (travel may be required for observation, consultation and training); drug-test, criminal background checks and post-employment physical conducted.
