Social Media Marketing Intern

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated Social Media Marketing Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for dog lovers who are eager to make a positive impact through digital marketing. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in increasing the sales of our book and expanding our online presence to support dog rescue efforts.

Responsibilities

Content Creation:

  • Develop and publish 5 unique reels daily across platforms including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
  • Create engaging content that highlights the need for donations, promotes "Baxter's Second Chance; A New Leash On Life," and supports our mission to save dogs and educate on responsible pet ownership.
  • Utilize video editing software or Canva to produce high-quality reels featuring dog rescue stories, funny dog moments, book excerpts, and other relevant content.

Social Media Management:

  • Manage and grow our social media channels to increase visibility and drive book sales.
  • Respond promptly to questions and inquiries on all social media platforms, fostering a positive community around our mission.

Newsletter Creation:

  • Develop and distribute a biweekly newsletter that includes:
    • New or on-sale products from BaxterDog.com
    • Excerpts from the book
    • Sneak peeks into upcoming books
    • Information about events and dog rescue initiatives
    • Other pertinent updates and news

Marketing Strategy:

  • Utilize social media scheduling tools like Planoly and email marketing tools like Klaviyo to streamline marketing efforts.
  • Leverage AI tools, including ChatGPT, to enhance content creation and marketing strategies.

Qualifications

  • Passion for Dogs: A genuine love for dogs and a commitment to supporting dog rescue efforts.
  • Creative Skills: Ability to create engaging and visually appealing content using video editing software or Canva.
  • Social Media Savvy: Strong understanding of various social media platforms and current digital marketing trends.
  • Self-Starter: Highly motivated and able to work independently without daily supervision.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with online communities.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet daily content creation goals, and maintain a consistent posting schedule.

Compensation

  • Commission-Based: EarnĀ  commission for each book sold.
  • Potential for Growth: After the initial 90-day period, there is the possibility of additional salary and benefits based on performance.
  • Support a Good Cause: A portion of each book sale contributes to legitimate dog rescue organizations in need.
