Gallagher is a unique organization defined and made better every single day by our dedicated employees. You will have an opportunity to work in our Risk Management Services division, focusing on leveraging data to support the division’s goals and business objectives.
How you'll make an impact
From natural catastrophes to cyber or political risks, you will play a pivotal role in protecting our clients' assets and helping them navigate complex risks with confidence. By immersing yourself in sophisticated analytics, you will provide invaluable insights, innovative risk transfer strategies, and operational expertise, enabling our clients to maintain strong financial positions to cover claims for their policyholders when disasters strike.
Every day presents new challenges, ensuring your work remains dynamic and engaging. As a CAT intern, you will:
- Master the art of explaining model outputs and preparing compelling written reports, effectively communicating complex concepts
- Showcase your expertise by presenting analysis summaries to internal and external clients, igniting impactful discussions and crafting future strategies
- Provide real-time event response and analysis of catastrophic events, empowering insurance companies to protect their policyholders
- Dive into vast data sets, uncovering insights and developing potential solutions to address risk challenges head-on
- Learn and apply catastrophe modeling data sets
- Interpret model outputs and prepare written reports
- Real-time reporting and analysis of natural disasters and supporting clients' post-event
- Work with large data sets to develop insights and potential solutions
About You
- Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint; Access or enterprise database programs
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, PowerBI, Tableau or other Data Visualization software a plus
- Rising sophomores and juniors with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027
- Availability to participant within program dates: June 2nd, 2025 and ends: August 1st, 2025
- Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. For U.S. employment opportunities, Gallagher hires U.S. citizens, permanent residents, refugees, and temporary residents. Temporary residence does not include those with non-immigrant work authorization (F, J, H or L visas), such as students in practical training status. Exceptions to these requirements will be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. We will require proof of work authorization
