Sales and Merchandising Intern
SPRING INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY - Sales and Merchandising
Intern will support sales activities and help implement agreed upon Marketing Plan which will meet business goals of expanding customer base in the NYC area.
Hours: Monday - Sunday 11am -7:00pm with the flexibility to work during the week (up to 20 hours).
Part Time Paid Internship - for Students / Alumni $17 per hour and 5% commission
Location: Chelsea Market in Manhattan.
INTERN is required to bring lunch and will be cognizant that Pop up Store is in full operation during work hours with ongoing traffic.
INTERN will also assist in: Serving as key sales support at Flea Markets, Pop up Stores, and shopping events striving to meet a minimum sales goal each day
• Recording daily sales
• Setting up promotional material and displays
• Reorganizing items to attract buyers throughout the day
• Maintaining a neat and tidy work space
• Assisting with merchandise pricing
• Assist Owner in maintaining contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of Client Satisfaction (sign up e-news subscribers)
• Providing recommendations on items to replenish at the close of each business day Job Qualifications Skills and attributes Sales Associate is expected to have:
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong editing skills

- High level of enthusiasm with a desire to come up with fresh ideas to support business.

• Work well under pressure Company Description Brooklyn Bleu is a retail boutique specializing in vintage clothing, jewelry, accessories and home décor.
We are located in Brooklyn, NY and operate out of a private showroom and selected Flea Markets in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Work Environment Fast-paced, The use of electronics (cell phones, ipads or laptops, etc) for personal use during work hours or downtime is discouraged unless it is an emergency or an urgent communication.
Any excessive use of these items can impact daily sales goals and will result in possible termination of the position.
Sales Associate is expected to be 100% professional, attentive, and focused during work hours at all times.
To that end, reading books or literature during work hours is also not permitted.
