STEM Education Program Manager

HCLS is seeking a passionate STEM Education Program Manager to plan, manage, and implement HCLS’ Teen STEM Curriculum.

· Provide oversight and management of the HiTech, STEM Machine, and related STEM educational programs.

· Supervise and schedule staff, contract, and vendor-based team members.

· Oversee the development of innovative and inclusive STEM curriculum and collaborate with HCLS staff to leverage educational partnerships.

· Identify and leverage emerging STEM trends to implement best practices and achieve HCLS’ mission and educational priorities.

· Manage the STEM budget to ensure the efficient and cost-effective delivery of the curriculum and ROI on educational investments.

· Provide oversight of a comprehensive and inclusive schedule of STEM classes

· Lead the development of new STEM initiatives and collaborate with HCLS staff to leverage educational partnerships.

· Prepare and deliver statistical reports related to STEAM classes, attendance, and evaluations that support eliminating, redeveloping, or creating new classes.

· Ensure curriculum fulfills designated objectives of International and National Science or Technology Standards; as well as addressing applicable State standards.

· Coordinate the delivery of STEAM instruction across branches in collaboration with the Head(s) of Children and Adult Curriculum(s).

· Oversee and manage the program’s technological resources and lifespan projections.

· Collaborate with other departments on marketing, communication, and training goals.

· Solicit guidance, input, and feedback from community stakeholders

· Perform other duties, as assigned

· Participate in professional training and development

· Maintain regular and predictable attendance

· Adhere to all policies and procedures

Requirements

· Four-year college degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math

· Graduate degree, Project Management Certification, or other in related field, preferred

· Proven instructional or curriculum development track record

· 4 years Project Management experience

· 3 years supervisory and staff development experience

· Demonstrated ability to be positive, adaptable, and forward-thinking.

· Demonstrated experience conducting performance-based reporting and responsive program management.

· Experience acquiring or managing grant-funded projects

· Superior writing, editing, and verbal communication skills

· Have solid spreadsheet, database, presentation, and word-processing skills

· Have a strong attention to detail and high degree of speed and accuracy

· Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment and exercise diplomacy

· Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

· Have familiarity and working knowledge of software applications or programming languages (e.g., Adobe, PHP, python)

· Have strong Excel and database skills, including data manipulation, pivot tables, and other functions

 

Your job will involve being active:

· You need to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, reach, lift, and push/pull carts and carry bags or boxes of books

· Driving required

 

Additional Details:

· Position currently located at the Administrative Branch

· Works under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, Support Services

· Full-time, 37.5 hours per week; mornings, evenings and/or weekends may be required for meetings and for HCLS events

· May be required to participate in LATI (Library Associate Training Institute)

· Grade 12: $55,159 - $96,721
