We are offering an exciting internship opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented student to join our team for a one-semester project focused on performing gel electrophoresis on proteins that currently do not have a gel analysis. The goal is to assess the purity of these proteins and document the results for inclusion in Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and on our website. This project will provide hands-on experience in protein analysis and laboratory techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gel Electrophoresis: Assist in performing SDS-PAGE and other gel electrophoresis techniques to assess the purity of protein samples.
  • Documentation: Help accurately record and document electrophoresis results, ensuring they are ready for inclusion in COAs and on the company website.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze gel results to assess protein quality and purity, and interpret gel bands under supervision.
  • Sample Preparation: Prepare protein samples for electrophoresis, following lab protocols for proper handling and storage.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with experienced team members in quality control and research to complete the project.
  • Reporting: Assist in preparing reports summarizing electrophoresis results and findings.
