About the position:
Are you a dynamic and creative individual eager to gain hands-on marketing experience? Our summer Marketing Internship offers you the chance to work closely with our marketing team, where you'll play a pivotal role in crafting and distributing marketing materials, supporting internal and external initiatives, and acquiring invaluable project management skills. This exciting role will encompass various tasks, including project management, ordering promotional materials, content creation, graphic design using Canva templates, and web content management. You will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment that offers both in-office and remote work opportunities
This is a hybrid position and will require time in the office and working independently remotely.
Major Duties / Responsibilities:
- Design Excellence: Leverage your creativity by designing brochures and eye-catching graphics using Canva and preexisting templates.
- Digital Presence: Dive into the world of web content management and social media support. Collaborate with internal teams to brainstorm and craft engaging blog posts, integrating SEO strategies to boost website traffic. Create compelling social media posts to promote our content and foster engagement with the Sprague brand.
- Event Enthusiast: Get hands-on experience in event planning as you support our marketing team in organizing and executing customer events throughout the summer. Your skills will be pivotal in both pre-event planning and on-the-day assistance.
- Intranet Innovator: Keep our internal website up to date with the latest company news and knowledge-sharing articles. Elevate department pages to create a more interactive and user-friendly experience. Promote the use of brand-compliant collateral and enhance employee engagement.
- Versatile Support: Step in to assist the marketing team in various other initiatives, demonstrating your adaptability and dedication. Maintain a friendly and personable demeanor in all internal and external communications.
Education / Experience / Skill Requirements:
- Passion for Marketing: Currently enrolled in degree programs related to Marketing, Business, Communication, Journalism, Hospitality, Web/Graphic Design, or Multimedia/Video Production.
- Positive Attitude: Has a positive attitude and showcases exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Eager Learner: Whether you have prior marketing experience or are willing to learn from the ground up, your enthusiasm and adaptability are highly valued.
- Tech Savvy: Exhibit strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with website content management systems is a plus.
- Team Player: Collaborate effectively with colleagues, adeptly organize your workload, and excel under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
